Q11 : I found some sand on the O-ring Seal, how can I wash it out?
[click to open/close the answer]
Sand
or grit is the enemy of O-ring Seals. To remove sand or grit from the
O-ring Seal, rinse the O-ring Seal in fresh water and apply fresh
lubricant (Model no.: Vites SG60N00, Vites SG60N0, Vites SG60N1, Vites
SG60N2, Vites SG60N3). If there is sand inside the Battery Housing,
gently brush the sand from the unit, take care not to scratch the
sealing surface.
If an O-ring Seal is damaged,
replaced it with a new one and apply fresh lubricant (Model no.: Vites
SG60N00, Vites SG60N0, Vites SG60N1, Vites SG60N2, Vites SG60N3) before
use.

This
situation may happen to the SEA-DOO® sea scooter Explorer as it has a
built-in water leakage sensor. When a buzzer is heard or the propeller

For safety, turn OFF the master switch, remove the SEA-DOO® sea scooter
from the water and check the Battery Pod and Battery Chamber for water
ingress. Always observe safe diving practice if this occurs during a
dive. If salt water has entered into the chamber, rinse it out with
fresh water. Dry the battery pod and battery chamber thoroughly and

If the Battery Pod and Battery
Chamber is dry and the water leakage sensor continues to beep then
there is a leak in the motor housing. Remove the Battery Pod and
contact customer service centre / repair centre for maintenance.
